i'm starting to get a bit peeved.....

so there's this neighborhood ice cream truck...
yanno, the vans with the deep-freeze in the
back and the annoyingly loud and repetitious
kiddie song?

yeah... those....

so anyways, there's one in my neighborhood...
an orange van... that plays "ITS A SMALL WORLD"
over and over and over....

it usually comes on a pretty consistant
basis, every day during the week at around
5 or 6 pm.

what i mean by that is.... it comes in my
neighborhood... but not necessarily down
my street. i know this due to the damned song.

i'm lucky if that sucker comes down my
street at all. but whats most annoying...

is that the song is played so loud...
that you really can't tell WHERE THE FUCK
the van is... how close... until its right
up on yer damn door... as it passes you by.

this angers me... but nothing as bad as today....

today... that rat bastard ice cream truck
came a wheezin all up and down my street...
two or three times... without warning.
i had only noticed it when i heard the
familiar tune... as loud as ever.

to add insult to injury...
another ice cream truck came down my street.
competition, i suppose....

a blue van... playing B-I-N-G-O!

Man.. glad i live in the netherlands, here, i have to listen to my own annoying music, not some icetrucks'.
Wait a sec... Is this the same state where you can't have a dog because it's too noisy, but one of those ice sellers can just call the entire neighbourhood out, with an annoying song to boot?

So all we need is a way to make barking dogs make money?... How about some contraption they could wear over their faces that would convert the sonic energy of the bark into electric energy that you could..wait..naaaaah.
Still, i mean, is it _that_ bad over there? You can't lodge a complaint due to sound pollution?
